Today marks five months of sobriety. I’m not celebrating perfection. I’m celebrating progress. Every day I’ve chosen clarity over chaos, and steady steps over quick fixes. Recovery hasn’t been loud or dramatic for me. It’s been small choices that add up. Waking up clear-headed. Showing up for myself. Learning how to deal with life instead of running from it.

I’m starting to learn that strength isn’t about never falling. It’s about getting honest, getting back up, and moving in a better direction.

I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I’m even more grateful for where I’m heading. One day at a time. One choice at a time. Five months down. Many more to go.
