Over the past 5months , I’ve learned more about myself than I ever thought possible. Recovery isn’t just about giving something up — it’s about discovering who you truly are beneath everything that held you back.

For me, this journey has been about accountability, self-awareness, and growth. I’ve made mistakes, but I’ve also learned that change is possible when you’re willing to be honest with yourself and do the work. Every day I try to become a better version of myself — through honesty, humility, and hard work.

The most important thing I’ve learned is that progress doesn’t happen overnight. It’s built from consistent effort: showing up for meetings, reflecting on the past without letting it define you, and staying open to learning from others who’ve walked the same path.

Recovery has given me clarity, purpose, and the chance to rebuild my life — not just for myself, but so I can be a positive presence for others too.

If you’re going through something similar, remember: you’re not your past. You’re what you choose to become today.
